Part Two: The Appreciation Campaign (28th August – 10th September)

Project Lovebomb originated from an experience of being lovebombed into an abusive relationship and aims to reclaim “lovebombing” from being something negative to something positive to make something good out of a negative experience, that not only benefits me but others too.

Following the launch of Lovebombs (14th-27th August), there will be a series of murals and flyposters around the city. Each mural, is unique, but shares one of two messages:

“you are appreciated”

or

“tell your friends you love them”.

Artists lined up to produce murals around the city, and one in Leeds, include:

  • Oskar with a K (Gasp, Luncerne Street, L17 8XT)
  • Caroline Dowsett (Make. North Docks, 34 Regent Street, L3 7BN)
  • Becky McGillivray (TBC)
  • Andrew “Wolfie” Wolfenden (TBC)
  • “Snooze” aka Denisa Kreitzer (Leeds, location TBC)

As well as public murals, free Appreciation Postcards will be available from Gasp, Lovelocks and Whisc during their normal opening hours.

In order to get their free appreciation postcard people need to:

  1. Take a selfie with one of the murals/flyposters and post it on instagram
  2. In their instagram post make sure to tag the project and a friend they appreciate saying why they appreciate them
