Vicki Lucas le Bon is a visual artist living in Liverpool whose practice includes painting and drawing, ceramics, collage and installation.
The basis of much of her painting grows spontaneously from automatic, life of their own drawings. She reworks and interweaves these initial forms, infilling and accentuating existing ghosts of shapes and suggestions in the paint. Features emerge and are played with to construct a combination of sometimes: angular, symmetrical, softer or organic looking compositions and fragmented scapes. Themes include growth, rot and decay, living organisms, flora, decorative and architectural forms, repeat motifs and the uncanny. Images of her work can be seen on Instagram
