Mary Fitz

Mary Fitz is a contemporary visual artist working with photography, painting and video. She has worked mostly on longterm art projects in the Middle East.
She has recently taken part in touring exhibitions ‘Relocation’ 2005 and ‘Intransit’ 2006 in the Balkans. Other exhibitions include large scale photographs in ‘Streets of Desire’ curated by Jump Ship Rat at the Blade Factory in the Liverpool Independent Biennial 2004 and ‘Intercommunication’ at Project Fabrica in Moscow 2006. Several solo exhibitions are planned in Serbia this year including ‘Unearthed’ Belgrade in December 2006. A first major monograph of her work is due to be published later this year by Zlatno Oko Gallery.
A limited edition artists pocket booklet will be on release during Liverpool Biennial 2006.
