Evocation; the act of bringing or recalling a feeling, memory, or image to the conscious mind.
An exhibition of work by Tate Staff Artists across 2 venues. Elevator Studios and Avenue HQ
Elevator Opens a week before Avenue HQ so come join us to celebrate our creativity on Thursday 17th August at Elevator Studios.
Avenue HQ Opens a week later so we will be celebrating this with you on Thursday 24th August.
Tate Staff Artists artists have created work to do with a personal memory, particularly one connected to their home lives and/or their experience of working at Tate. The ability to recall a powerful feeling, put significance on an object, remember an image that resonates: connects us all.
As artists we have to make our own opportunities and working together as a group means we are sharing connections and supporting each other. These exhibitions will absolutely be a celebration as we are winding down our time of working together at Tate Liverpool.
The artists all work at Tate Liverpool in a variety of roles including Gallery, Shop, Cafe, Art Handling, Security, and Office based roles.
A list of 25 artists confirmed to be participating so far are Catherine Harrison, Jonathon Beaver, LouiseWallerCeramics, Stevie Cavanagh, Hannah Blackman Kurz, Ray Carney, Kathryn Cook, Tifany Kendall, Charlotte Furlong, Lucy Kelly, Kezia Thomas Mellor, Anna Stevens, Sophie Doyle, Christopher Mulray, Jason Richardson, Chris Fagan, Vera Hiller, Abby Tole, Bronte Ashcroft, Ruth Morrissey, Ann Bibby, Michelle Linger, Ann Walker, Steve Ashton, Will Armstrong, John Hughes, Steve Kelly, Eva Iliopoulos
