Wild Crafted Pendants in Silver and Silk Workshop
Landlines Studio and Amy Flynn from Dripped Goods

Wildcrafted silver pendant and botanically dyed silk ribbon workshop with Dripped Goods & Landlines Studio. Join us for a beautiful and immersive workshop in collaboration with Amy Flynn of Dripped Goods, where we will create with nature. Hosted at the Landlines studio, the session will include a short walk to gather local flora, allowing you to personalise your creation while fostering a meaningful connection to the Wirral landscape.

Amy will guide you in creating your own unique, hand sculpted pendant in recycled silver, featuring impressions of locally foraged foliage. You will shape a one-of-a-kind piece that holds personal meaning, whether you see it as a charm, talisman, or amulet. You will learn the basics of working with soft wax using the gathered materials from our walk in the local environment to create impressions in the surface of the wax to form our pendants. This is a slow and mindful process.

To elevate your pendant with a beautiful and luxurious silk ribbon tie, Angie and Nicky of Landlines Studio will show you how to use your foraged material to naturally dye silk, or vegan silk if you prefer. This involves using a botanical printing method that creates an imprint of leaves and petals on fabric, to capture the unexpected beauty of natural colour, making it truly personal and unique, rooted in place, and will allow you to style your jewellery however you choose.

Once cast in metal, these textures will be preserved in the jewellery. Casting takes place after the workshop, and each item is hand-finished by Amy. Your finished pendants will come beautifully styled with the silk ribbons in a keep safe box. This process takes approximately 4 weeks.

Drinks and light refreshments will be available. Please wear weather appropriate clothing for our short walk to collect foliage.

Important Info: Please note that our studio is located on the second floor of a Grade I listed building. Unfortunately, there is no lift access. Therefore, the space is not accessibility friendly. About Landlines Studio

Through the marrying of their individual creative practices, visual artists Angela Stringer and Nicky Perrin create site specific mixed media artworks which are grounded in place, thanks to their collective use of natural earth pigments and botanical dyes.

Engaging with their local Wirral environment and beyond, gathering raw materials such as rocks, soil, clay and botanical matter, they hand process these into fine pigments, natural dyes and paint, and layer them over rust prints made with discarded objects.

Weaving in the stories of a place, acknowledging its history and significance, the work serves as a vehicle to consider heritage, sustainability and wellbeing whilst establishing both a physical and metaphorical connection to the natural world. Their work is a conversation with the land, the past, the seasons and each other.

About Dripped Goods

Dripped Goods is all about making things slowly and sustainably to cherish for a long, long time (hopefully a lifetime!) It is anti-fast fashion at its core and stands for quality and longevity, whilst still adding some fun into personal adornment. Churning out products that only last a season or two is destructive, which is why these jewels are made to be loved and worn for years to come. Every piece of jewellery is carefully considered, designed to be gender neutral and can be worn by any body.
