Travelsick is an international exchange project organised by BAab, between artists from Liverpool (UK) and Melbourne (Australia). BAab seeks to explore the notion of belonging, or lack of belonging, through the investigation of the principles of distance. Liverpool and Melbourne were chosen as hosts for the exchange because both cities were, and are, gateways for the movement of trade and people. Earlier this year, Liverpool artists visited and exhibited at Talk Artists Initiative Inc. in Melbourne. The return exchange involves a visit and exhibition of work from 11 members of Talk alongside further work developed by BAab in response to the exchange process.
