The work has developed from research into cells, water and organic forms in the 1970s, and Fractal Geometry and Chaos Theory in the 1980s. It also tries to convey my experience during meditation and the states of consciousness that accompany it. In 1987 I discovered a technique I’ve called double edging which more effectively expresses these states.

One of my other aims is to reconnect with the underlying reality beneath the surface appearance of things perceived in the objective world. As we approach the 3rd Millennium, the work signals a qualitative change, one that re-restablishes out spritiual roots – a time for self exploration and the willingness to push boundaries.
