Chiz Turnross

I’ve been, messing with materials, with art stuff and other stuffs, with sound and music’s. For a long time now, looking under things, having shows, refining stuff. Cutting things up, history and mythology, the nature of colour, designing.  Often feeling the need to collaborate, share creative joys. This could be making music with peers or devising heritage projects and happenings with the wider community. I’ve been drawing things, a weed or a person perhaps. Painting recollected and/or imagined things. Other times surrendering to self-doubt, though nature takes hold, slows things down. I spent months with my head in hedgerows, scaling muddy riverbanks to find an example of every native tree. Without fixed plans. I’m half way through cycling every canal in the country, prompting written reflections. Meeting people… listening.
