Come visit The Monday Group art exhibition at Start Yard this June as they proudly showcase their creative talents as part of the Independents Biennial 2025.

This exhibition brings together a rich mix of disciplines including oil painting, printmaking, figurative work, and vitreous enamel, offering a diverse and dynamic look at contemporary art practice on the Wirral.

Tilly Wilkinson

Tilly has a BA Hons in Fine Art from Liverpool John Moores. She works primarily in Vitreous enamel using  copper, steel, or precious metal plates  creating colourful and unique pieces.

Tilly also paints in oils and produces wonderful studies of people, places and things.

She holds the coveted Craftsman of the Gild of Enamellers Award and is a former Chair of the Guild of Enamellers. She has work in numerous private collections and in the permanent collection of the Williamson Art Gallery and Museum

Harry Garner

Harry Garner, 1998, studied Fine Art & Art History at Liverpool Hope University. Harry’s work has been exhibited across the UK, but he continues to live and work in Liverpool. Harry’s work explores contemporary themes of faith and uncertainty. He uses figurative painting to stage vignettes, often derived from a historical context, that balance between the ambiguous and the specific. His subject matter defies straightforward interpretation, and often shifts between portrait and still life genres.

David Brown

David Brown is a painter in oils and sketcher – mainly portraits and nudes.  He is listed in Who’s Who in Art and has work in collections privately, nationally and worldwide. Former President of the Liver Sketching Club and Secretary of the Wirral Society of Arts he is also the author of two books ‘The History of the Liver Sketching Club’ and ‘ the Biography of James Hamilton Hay’ His work is colourful and calm.

Susan Lee Brown

Susan Lee Brown is a painter and printmaker. Her prints are created using various techniques are very limited editions and original in their execution. Oil paintings concentrate on light as she shows how it effects both day and evening.

She is a member of the Wirral Society of Arts and is currently listed in Who’s Who in Art. Susan has work in private, national and international collections.
