‘The Living Room’ is a space for connection and reflection, a space for being alive and being together. Isn’t it? Let us draw the curtains, kiss the televisions gentle glow, close our eyes, drop our jaws and let the welcoming light of The Lamp lead us home…

You will travel in a small group. You will be looked in the eye. You will greet yourself at the door.

You can expect to be in the dark, sometimes.

Located in the centre of Liverpool, the Adelphi still retains its reputation as one of Liverpool’s most iconic hotels to date. The history of The Adelphi Hotel is one of the most fascinating in terms of hotels in Britain and contains an abundance of stories, spanning over the last two centuries. Liverpool itself celebrated its 800th anniversary in 2007 and is renowned for its charming appeal and character.

The Adelphi has hosted dozens of artists and exhibitions for Independents Biennial since 1999, with performance programme by Izzie Major taking space in their rooms this summer.
