About The Right Map:

The Ghost Art School presents The Right Map — A constellation of art exhibitions across Liverpool, unfolding under the banner of the Independents Biennial.

Emerging from the spirit of Ghost Art School, celebrating the artists who move between margins, who learn in the cracks, who map their own routes when none are given…

Here, the map is not fixed… Drawn in gestures, erased by time, redrawn again in conversation, in defiance, in care. The Right Map asks not where we are going, but how we move and who gets to move with us.

The Right Map

I will be here and           there

 — inside and outside —

between |walls| and beneath the trees…

present and absent

boundless and forbidden…

f👀lish and resolute

f o r m l e s s and bodiless…

I will be among you like

       a ghost

that has lived 1000 years

yet was born only yesterday…

About The Stables, Port Sunlight:

Built in 1894 and designed by William Owen, the Stables is sited to the southwest of Gladstone Theatre. It originally housed Lever Brothers’ horses, playing an important role in soap manufacturing in Port Sunlight.

The Stables is a rare surviving, structure from Port Sunlight’s industrial past, most of which was demolished by the mid-1980s. The building was designed to be in keeping with the Arts and Crafts architecture found throughout the village. Today, the imposing building still retains some original features inside and outside.
